Jonathan Cooper came to real estate from the military as a veteran to United Country. Prior to joining the UC team, he was active duty in the United States Coast Guard and Navy for over 22 years. As a veteran, he experienced the many transitions of his family moving and integrating into a new environment.
As your realtor, Jon will be an advocate for you. Whether you are buying, selling, or renting, he will work tirelessly to promote your best interests. If you are selling, he will work with you to get you the fairest price, in the least amount of time, by using state of the art technology, team collaboration and United Country superior marketing materials. If you are buying, he will work hard to provide you with the best information and market data to inform and assist you so you can be a well equipped buyer with the strongest possible negotiating position.
Jon understands that buying and selling real estate can be hectic. He understands the needs and timetables and makes the transfer easier, faster, and less stressful. As your realtor he will work hard to lower your stress level and make your experience as pleasurable as possible. He will accomplish this through constant communication, and by being accessible whenever you need him.
He has been awarded the nationally recognized Military Relocation Professional Certification. The National Association of Realtors®awards the MRP certification to Realtors®who help military personnel, veterans and their families find housing that lets them make the best use of their benefits and serves the unique needs of military life.
Jon has been an area resident since 2012 and earned his bachelor’s degree in Homeland Security from American Military University. He recognizes the unique characteristics and benefits of living and working in Camden, Pasquotank, Perquimans, Currituck, and Dare counties.
When not assisting clients, Jon enjoys spending time with his wife Christy and their four boys, entertaining their friends, being an active member of the community, and volunteering with the local Boys Scouts of America.
